Riding the Waves of Change

“Give up to grace. The ocean takes care of each wave ’til it gets to shore.” Rumi

Hello Everyone,

I hope this newsletter finds you and finds you well. It strikes me that so many of you, myself included, are still riding the waves of change that started so long ago. It can feel like the life we once knew is a distant memory of a picturesque, happy time; care-free and easy. We, as a collective humanity, have been plunged into a depth of looking and, like it or not, we are still being prompted to gaze into the mirror of our own lives. And we’re doing all of this self-gazing while standing on a moving floor, like in a fun house; the floor is moving and we are on a  conveyor belt to a hall of mirrors where all the images seem distorted. Ah, what a gift! Seriously, this is the gift. Right this moment in time, we are like relentless surfers swimming out into the salty sea. The sun kissing our skin as our arms rise through the water, caressing each wave to pull us along; working in tandem with the elements. We know our wave exists and when it’s time, we will stand steady amongst all the movement and glide our way home. This has always been our way. This is the way of the heart.

Take care of your tender heart in these times of change and shadows. The distortion you may see when looking within is a lie; simple and clear. All the shadow wants us to know is fear. And there is loads of fear going around. But if you boil all of your worries down to a single root, you will find one word exists in the core of each shadow, no matter how big or convoluted the shadow seems, it will always and forever have at its core fear. But the opposite of fear, my sweet soul tribe, is TRUST. And trust lives in the heart. And the heart, my heart, your heart, that other person’s heart, is a big as an infinite ocean. You are precious beyond measure. Your heart knows this and it is time now, in the fun-house hall of mirrors with the floor moving and our stomachs feeling queezy to remember. We must now reignite our knowledge that has perhaps laid dormant. The knowledge of the heart. The knowledge of the preciousness of our human nature. The feeling of trust that lies within like the wetness of water itself, trust is inherent in each and every one of us. We just need to wake it up. Like waking up your child, simply love on it a little as you gently and firmly say, “it’s time to get up trust. I need you.” The heart is the way my friends and it is the only way. So as you swim your strokes to your perfect wave, know that you are not alone and that we are all gliding gently home.

Sweet, Sweet blessings to you all this and every day,

Angie
