Trust and the Infinite Well of Gratitude
“As soon as you trust yourself you will know how to live.”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Hello Everyone,
I’m writing to you on the fall equinox today where the length of the day and night will be, more or less, equal. This feels like a balancing point to me as we enter autumn. It’s time to harvest our cropsthat we planted in the spring. It’s time to celebrate our bountiful growth. So take some time today and in the next few days if you can and look back at where you were in the spring. In this country, we were just entering the lockdown due to the pandemic. What were some areas of your life you were being guided to look at? And what changes were being placed before you? As I like to say to myself, what was on the chopping block for transformation back then? Whatever seeds of change you planted, look now to see if they have matured. As Eckhart Tolle so aptly put it, our consciousness, at this moment, is shaping our future.
Sometimes it’s hard to have a bird’s-eye view of life, especially this year with so much constant upheaval and change. 2020 is keeping us awake and on our toes for sure. The astrologers have been speaking about 2020 for years. A good way to sum up this year in one sentence is: you can run but you can’t hide! We are all, collectively, shedding our skin and reemerging as our new, transformed selves. Some of us are going willingly through this transformation and others are resisting change. But no matter where you fall on the spectrum of willingness right now, you are going through a metamorphosis. On some level our souls signed a contract to be here now. And being here now is really the only thing we can do. We’re on the ride, we’ve been on the ride and we’re not getting off the ride until it comes to a complete stop. As my good friend Kat says, “this is a marathon, not a sprint.”
And although it may feel like you’ve wandered off the road and into the moors where the old man at the tavern told you NOT to go, I can assure you, you are right where your spirit wants you to be. Spirit put you here, right here. And being here now will require all of your trust. As I’ve come to understand, Trust is not something you can go and get. You can’t download trust or receive it from a friend or run to the store and pick up a container of trust. You either let yourself trust or you don’t. It is truly an inside job. And once you let yourself trust, you open up to the infinite well of gratitude that sits just beneath this trust. When we let ourselves feel trust in the moment, our gratitude ignites and flows freely.
My current landlords decided they needed to sell our house a few months ago. So, I’ve been feeling my Capricorn call to action. My prayers have consisted of praying for future homes. For example, I’ve been saying, “thank you for my next forever family home for me, my wife and my cats.” What I understood recently was how to simply abide in the sweet guidance of trust. It’s about appreciating deeply what I have now, even though it may be gone soon. But to stay here now with what is and trust the next step will be revealed in right time. In prayer form this looked like, “thank you great spirit for the house we have now, for as long as we have it.” In this version I let myself trust in what is now. I felt this trust and then I felt an overflowing well of gratitude and peace wash through me. A calm clarity came over me and I was able to stop trying to pull something in that was not available yet. Truly and deeply I felt so grateful for the home we have now, for as long as we have it. Shortly after this, not so small epiphany, my landlords sold the house and the new owners asked if we could stay on as renters. This was perfect and even as a psychic, sometimes you just don’t see it coming because if you did, you couldn’t be taught, you couldn’t learn. And we are all here to learn my sweet friends.
I hope this message brings you peace and clarity.
May all beings benefit!
Sweet Blessings to you this day and every day,
Angie
